The Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation (PHEF) was established in Pueblo, Colorado in 1988.
PHEF is proud to announce that we have raised $2,099,260 and have awarded 1,551 scholarships since 1990-2010. If you would like to assist in our fund-raising efforts, see what we can do for you, or just learn more about us, we would love to hear from you. PHEF Mission: PHEF Helps students turn their educational dreams into goals and those goals into reality by providing scholarships for higher education to students in need from all backgrounds from Pueblo and Southern CO to assist them in achieving lifelong success. Designing the PHEF Logo When designing the new logo for PHEF, we really wanted to include elements from all our past logos which have always incorporated a sun and horizon. We felt like this new logo gave us a fresh look but still held true to our roots. Along with the new logo came the new tagline and vision statement "Sowing SEEDS for a Brighter Future." Vision: “Sowing SEEDS for a Brighter Future”
S - Scholarships E - Education E - Excellence D - Dedication S - Success
Along with the design and creation of our new logo, the PHEF Board of Directors have worked together to create a new vision for our organization. Our new vision is, “sowing SEEDS for a Brighter Future” which we feel completely encompasses what we do as an organization. The acronym SEEDS represents the desired progressions PHEF has for its scholars. We believe that a PHEF Scholar starts their relationship with us by first accepting our scholarship award. We then expect them to seriously pursue higher education and excellence. At this point, we believe we have equal dedication to each other - PHEF is dedicated to supporting our scholars, and they become dedicated to giving back to PHEF with either their time and/or resources.
Most importantly, we believe that we are helping our scholars find success to allow them to become our leaders for a brighter future. |
